After I finished amputee rehab in early 2000s, I looked for a Physiotherapist that could help me maintain strength without injuring myself in the process. Emma carefully assessed my physical abilities, and muscle groups to work on. Together we developed a Velcro strap that secures my prosthetic for reformer exercises. I also use other equipment options in her studio. When the NDIS was introduced I had a carbon fibre prosthetic manufactured, being lightweight it’s easier for exercise. Emma is a NDIS registered Physiotherapy provider. This has allowed further assessment to tailor my Physio guided programme. The prosthetist is impressed by my gait, and mobility. The Pilates physiotherapy exercise program I do has helped me maximise my strength, despite missing tendons in my knee. I have maintained a programme with Emma for 13 years.
