I have been a Physiotherapist for over 30 years, having studied Physiotherapy in the UK and I am experienced working with a wide range of conditions, including bone health, managing osteopenia and osteoporosis.
I am a licensed Onero Bone Density Program Provider, certified PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehab Physiotherapist and NDIS Provider Physiotherapist.
I specialise in supportive prescriptive exercise for clients managing hormonal deficiency, with chronic disability, osteoporosis, chronic pain, postural pain and cancer rehab.
I have practiced the pilates method intensively for over 25 years finding great relief from a chronic spinal condition. I qualified as a Pilates instructor with a Diploma of Professional Pilates Practice in 2001.
I have practiced various forms of Yoga over the past 20 years, teaching since my Yoga Arts graduation in 2006. I graduated from the Yoga Therapy Institute as a certified Yoga Therapist in 2015.
I have remained a member of professional groups, the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Pilates Association Australia for over 20 years.
“Movement has always been an inseparable part of my life. I trained as a competitive gymnast, then tennis player and spent most of my childhood and youth competing. I learned early on that physical fitness can help you actualise your goals in all areas of life.”
I spent my 30’s and 40’s training and running half marathons and marathons and I am now in my 50s and live a clean, well-rounded and healthy lifestyle, and fuse the techniques I have learned along the way, into my Physiotherapy exercise, Pilates and Yoga Therapy programs. The process I teach at End Physio, Pilates & Bone Physio provides genuine attention to all areas of your health and well being.
What I love about the End Physio Pilates and Bone Physio studio is its peaceful, yet positive atmosphere and family friendly environment. I love seeing my clients improve and achieve their goals.
I put emphasis on exercise cues and proper form in all classes. I love seeing each client improve their fitness and confidence, through strength training, pilates and yoga.
One of my favourite aspects of training clients is seeing people achieve things they never thought they could do.
Through my heart centered philosophy I guide clients through their perceived limitations and on a journey to become the greatest version of themselves.
Corrective movement results in being able to do everything better no matter the goals. I consider it a great opportunity to share, with those who seek to learn more about their bodies, while developing themselves to become fitter and stronger.
In my spare time when I’m not training clients or teaching a class, I am in the studio or at the gym with my husband and teenagers or enjoying active outdoor time in West End, near the river or at the Gold Coast practicing water sports.
Not only do I live and breathe a healthy and fit lifestyle myself, I have helped thousands all over the world achieve their health and fitness goals and transform their lives.
